Name from

Achaválit wurde beannt nach Luis Achával (geb. 8 Juni 1870 in Córdoba - gestorben am 20. März 1938). Luis Achavál war Professor an der Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Er war Autor von "Geografia de Córdoba" mit Manuel Rio und war Präsident der Academia de Ciencia.
